Job title: WASTEWATER (WW) TECHNICIAN

Summary/Objective: To maintain and control the wastewater treatment system to ensure environmental compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Support global Plating Operations with a high level of integrity with the wastewater system needs.
- Monitor and maintain the wastewater treatment system through analysis of impurities and the upkeep of daily monitoring reports. Responsible for operating the system within compliance limits.
- Troubleshoot system issues of a mechanical and chemical nature to maintain total environmental compliance.
- Perform periodic PM on system components per predefined schedules.
- Ensure that all waste bi-products are drummed, labeled and properly stored in accordance with all environmental laws. Assist in shipments of all hazardous waste to ensure that all applicable laws are met.
- Maintain and upkeep of the water supply system to provide high quality water source for the plating lines. Perform periodic PM on the system per predefined schedules.
- Maintain and upkeep Fume Scrubbers throughout the Plating Department. Perform periodic PM on the systems per predefined schedules.

Required Experience:
- 5+ Years’ Experience in operating and managing a Wastewater system.
- Essential functions of the job include the ability to stand, lift, and walk on continual basis.
- Must be willing to work in a chemical environment.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a minimum Class C Wastewater License.
- Must have the ability work with heavy drums of chemicals with a drum dolly.
- Must be able to communicate with local, state, and federal agencies regarding wastewater compliance.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
- CPR/First Aid/AED training
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Wastewater Certification is required.
Training required:
- On the job training as appropriate.
